Background[]
Alex is studying to be a dentist. He lives in Los Angeles, California, and started a romantic relationship with Nicholas, which is how he came to know the rest of the family.
In the beginning of the series, Alex starts dating Nicholas casually, believing that Nicholas was to return to Australia. When Nicholas plans to stay in California longer, their relationship becomes more serious.
